Emily Daye is a young musician from Melbourne, Australia. Known for her captivating voice, uplifting guitar, solid bass lines and beautiful piano. Her brand new single, Summer Days out now on Bandcamp!
Early Music Life:
Emily's early music days consisted of being part of Dennis Walter's National Youth Choir, Australian Girl's Choir, Primary and High-School Choirs, School Musicals including acting as little Cosette in The Parade College's 2003 Les Miserables.
Through her teenage years, from 2009-2015, she was a member of "The 30 Year Gap" who have supported Jimmy Barnes' little brother Alan Barnes on his Victoria/New South Wales tour, played at private functions such as birthdays and weddings. From 2009-2012 Emily was part of "Mindpilot" who won several battles of the band competitions as well as supported and ACDC tribute band. In these rock band setups, Emily was a vocalist, keyboardist, and bassist.
In 2011 Emily played in the duo "Emily and Sara Music" and held Friday night residency at the Tonik Bar Cafe in Kensington. This set up included vocals and acoustic guitars. In this year Emily also received the top study score for her high-school year 12 VCE Music Performance class.
Current Music Life:
She has supported "Someday June," "Jane Cameron" and "Lachie Ranford," won an open mic night prize at the Hidden Garden Cafe and first prize at Whole Lotta Love Bar's Open Mic Final in 2015.
She has played two-hour acoustic shows at Little Oscar on Lygon St, and West Village NYC in 2016. She continues to play at acoustic showcases at places such as Little Oscar, The Drunken Poet, and The Woodlands Hotel.
Her three track "Acoustic Demo" was released August 2015. Her "Dream Catcher" official music video was released February 2016.
