Andrew McSweeney’s Midnight Hunting Crew deliver sweet and moving, feel-good, tail-feather-shaking, rootsy Australian country rock with influences from around the world. The band consists of:

• Andrew McSweeney - guitar and lead vocals
• Nick Thompson - bass
• Co Tipping – guitar
• Simon McSweeney – drums
• Lee Morgan – guitar.

McSweeney, working with a range of the country’s leading musos, has already built a solid reputation as a live and recording act with widespread gigging, appearing on Mangrook Footy Show, airplay and a rave review on Felicity Urqhart’s ABC Radio Saturday Night Country show and years as a hired ‘gun’ playing and singing back-up vocals with Kutcha Edwards. He is also mainman and principle mentor for Living Music, working with troubled youth, whose show No Place Like Home was HIGHLY COMMENDED in the Best Music category in the 2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Midnight Hunting Crew

The talented singer/songwriter’s new album Diesel, Torch and Bullets, and band, Midnight Hunting Crew came together when his bass playing mate Alan Brooker commented how much he loved the country-styled songs in the set – many of them numbers which had also won plaudits from reviewers. And so a special country collection from McSweeney’s five albums to date was born, and christened with a brand-new title track, ‘Midnight Hunting Crew’ – which just had to be the name of McSweeney’s new band as well.
