The Shaykes are a five piece, indie-rock outfit from the Central Coast, NSW.
The band have been impressing crowds with their distinctive blend of high energy garage rock, and vintage rock and roll, since forming in 2014.
The Shaykes are a product of the intense collaboration between charismatic front-man Matty Dalcol, and skilled guitarist, Matt Stalgis, who met in early 2012. The result, catchy songs with powerful vocals, foot tapping rhythms and memorable guitar lines.
The Shaykes have proved their worth as a formidable live act, captivating audiences with their explosive performances and dynamic on-stage presence. Recently, the band supported The Beards for their national album launch tour in July 2014 . They have also played to large crowds at popular Sydney venues, including The Oxford Art Factory, World Bar, and Spectrum.
Currently, the band are focusing on writing and recording in the studio. The Shaykes are due to release their newest single 'Catch Me If You Can' on 15th May 2015.
