Taarique "TyRique" Debidin is a singer-songwriter/producer born in Suriname. My Electronic style frequently borrows elements from genres such as R&B, House, Country & Dubstep.
Having always enjoyed singing, I began to really explore my musical talents in 2009. This entailed singing lessons and studying both music theory and songwriting. In 2011 I stayed in New York for a while and performed during open mic nights. Eventually I returned to Suriname and made my live debut there at the TBS2012 beauty pageant, performing my debut single SUPERMODEL, a number where I tell the ladies that they are all beautiful, but that first and foremost they themselves must believe and understand that. Afterwards I started work on my first EP CRASHING and independently released the record through the internet on February 13, 2013. You can listen to CRASHING for free on my official Facebook page. It includes songs that discuss themes of Love and Perseverance. Later I wrote DOWN THE RUNWAY, a runway song that was used during the Final Look of the TBS2013 beauty pageant. However, I spent most of 2013 sharpening my skills and staying in contact with people through social media including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In February 2014 I wrote LIONS, a song about being in command of your own life, and that regardless of the hurdles in your path, you must keep moving forward. The song was heard by rapper and now-manager E.A.S, and together we released a remix to Surinamese radio as our 2014 debut. On the remix E.A.S. further emphasizes the song's main message with his rap delivery. We hope that this song will inspire people internationally. Currently I am working on new projects, including a full album released under my new management contract with EASMusic. It will be a bilingual album with Dutch and English songs dealing with aspects of love and self-discovery.
