David Peck is Co-Founder, Producer, Composer, and Instrumentalist of Black Forest Ensemble. Over the years has performed many roles as Keyboardist, Drummer, Percussionist, Guitarist, and Sound Engineer including, Mastering and Editing on over 150 Albums for many Grammy Winning Artists. Such as Jeff Young (Megadeth), Denny Diante, (Bill Withers), In addition he assisted in transferring the entire Laurendo Almeida Guitar Collection and Vahdah Bickford Guitar Vinyl Record collections to digital which were bequeath to California State University Northridge Music Department / International Guitar Studies.
Early in his career David studied Composition, Harmony, Counterpoint, Drums , Percussion, and Piano independently and at CSUN, California Institute for The Arts. He performed and toured with a variety of Jazz / Rock/ Fusion Bands and was selected for the First Los Angeles All-City Marching Band and performed countless events for Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley including his inauguration event.
Today his focus is on Composing Orchestral Music for Documentaries, Educational Films, as well as Music Directing / Leading / Performing Praise and Worship Music.

Martin G. Selbrede had finished composing his third symphony prior to graduating high school. Two years later he reconnected with fellow music student David Peck on experimental projects that quickly led to a full-scale collaboration of the original Black Forest project. The union of two distinct aesthetics (e.g., fugues leading straight into driving rock passages) made Black Forest.
