Chris fell in love with composing music and writing songs when in his teenage years. He uses a variety of styles and genres when composing. Instrumentals, pop songs, folk, rock, electronic, songs with a social message, etc. He often uses a guitar, alto sax, voice and a keyboard hooked up to an iMac with Logic to create and record his pieces.
He has won several semi-finalist and finalist positions in international song competitions like Unisong, Pacific Songwriting Competition, the U.K. Songwriting Contest, International Songwriting Competition & ASA Songwriting Contest. He has a kids album on iTunes titled “Oh Me! Oh My!” as well a number of singles under Chris Magennis and under C A Magennis.
Recently the has been teaching himself Chromatic Dulcimer and Flugelhorn. He also loves the creative process of putting together videos for his songs and music.
