Artist Miss Linda Cheryl; Singer, Dancer, Actor, comes from a musical family as she began her quest towards singing at the tender age of seven. Linda remembers diligently listening to Michael Jackson, Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, Syretta Wright, Natalie Cole. Mostly her musical background comes from growing with a village of aunts keeping her grounded in the Church and in the Choir not to mention going to Catholic School being another foundation for her roots.
Years later she and her sisters formed the Perfect Praise Gospel Choir which was featured on KYW TV 3 in Philadelphia, PA on the Jean Hendley Show. Although gospel is Miss Linda's musical devotion, she finds joy in performing Broadway show tunes plus standard covers such as those of big band jazz singer and academy award-winning actor Frank Sinatra, jazz musician, Billie Holiday. Acting, another one of Miss Linda's talents and pursuits, fashioning herself in the stylistic image of cinematic queens like Dorothy Dandridge, Lana Turner, and Sophia Loren. She studied acting under the acclaimed actress Lonetta Mckee most known for her role as Sister Williams in the original 1976 musical-drama film Sparkle.
Artist Linda Cheryl who makes things happen on stage and on screen is currently writing a novel on her life of overcoming hardships growing up in the concrete jungle of the Empire State, New York City to leadership positions helping others rise from similar challenges. Linda Cheryl is also currently working on her music coming soon in a digital platform and Majoring in Communications and Fine Arts.
